About the Role micro1 is partnering with a leading AI lab to hire PhDs for projects that demand deep subject-matter expertise. Whether your field is technical (STEM) or humanities (English, literature, journalism), you'll apply research-grade rigor to evaluating and improving AI model reasoning.

Scope of Work

  • Evaluate AI model responses in your field for accuracy, depth, and reasoning quality
  • Create expert-level prompts, reference answers, and detailed critiques
  • Apply academic rigor to identify subtle errors and shallow reasoning
  • Help define expert-level performance standards for AI systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD from a reputable university in a technical field, English, literature, or journalism
  • Undergraduate degree from a well-known university
  • 1+ year of professional work experience, including experience within the past 7 years
  • Based in an English-speaking country
  • Excellent written English and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
