Why you can actually get this job

The posting explicitly lists Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago among 22 allowed countries, placing both Jamaica's primary Caribbean market and a second Caribbean nation squarely in scope. The contractor employment path means no visa sponsorship is required (G1 not triggered). The stated timezone range (-8 to -2 UTC) encompasses UTC-5 (Jamaica, the target user's location), satisfying G5. English proficiency is required at 85% but the target user is English monolingual, well exceeding that threshold. No language beyond English is mandated (G3 passes). No physical presence, residency, or security clearance is required. The user qualifies on all hard gates.

“Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica +16 more” Geographic scope — Caribbean named explicitly; included subject to G3 (which passed above).
“suriname” Geographic scope — Structured location list contains unrecognisable entries — templated artifact, not trusted as scope.
“Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela” Geographic scope — Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago are explicitly named in the allowed countries list, confirming Caribbean eligibility for the target user.
“-8, -7, -6, -5, -4, -3, -2” Timezone — UTC-5 (Jamaica/Kingston) falls within the stated timezone range, satisfying the 4-hour overlap requirement for an 8:00-18:00 working window.
“Contractor” Employment path — Contractor employment path means visa sponsorship is not applicable; no work authorization gate triggered.
“MUST be proficient in written and spoken English (85%)” Language — English proficiency is the only language requirement stated; no additional language is required. The target user, English monolingual, exceeds this threshold.

This role is hands-on; you will write production test code daily while contributing to the standards and tooling that shape our QA practice.

  • What qualifications make you an Aubrant QA Automation Engineer?

  • A clear communicator who can articulate test results, defects, and quality risks to engineers, architects, and product stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity, capable of building test coverage in environments where requirements and behavior are still evolving.
  • Curious about the frontier of QA, including agentic automation, AI-assisted test generation, and self-healing test patterns, and eager to bring those ideas into practice.
  • Customer-obsessed and outcome-focused, treating quality as a feature that protects the user experience and the business.

Responsibilities

Test Automation & Engineering

  • Design and build full test harnesses for .NET solutions, including end-to-end, integration, and API tests using Playwright and complementary frameworks.
  • Maintain and extend existing test suites, refactoring for stability, reusability, and clear failure diagnostics.
  • Partner with developers to make applications testable by design, including hooks, identifiers, and contract patterns.

CI/CD Integration & Cloud

  • Integrate test execution into Azure DevOps pipelines with appropriate parallelization, reporting, and quality gates.
  • Run and troubleshoot test workloads against Azure-hosted environments, including handling environment-specific configuration.
  • Contribute to release confidence by tying test outcomes to deployment decisions and feedback loops.

Innovation & Quality Practice

  • Pilot and advance agentic automation patterns, AI-assisted test generation, and self-healing test approaches that improve coverage and reduce maintenance.
  • Contribute to QA standards, tooling, and patterns shared across Aubrant engagements.
  • Participate in test planning, defect triage, and quality reviews with engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; MUST be proficient in written and spoken English (85%).
  • 3 to 5 years of professional QA automation experience building and maintaining production test suites.
  • Strong proficiency in Playwright for end-to-end test automation, including page object patterns, fixtures, parallel execution, and stable selector design.
  • Solid proficiency in .NET test automation , including writing test code in C# and integrating with .NET solutions; familiarity with frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
  • Hands-on experience integrating tests into Azure DevOps pipelines, including build/release configuration, test parallelization, and results reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Azure for running and troubleshooting test workloads in cloud-hosted environments.
  • Solid skills in API testing, test data management, and writing maintainable, well-structured test code.
  • Experience with version control (Git), code review practices, and test-related quality gates.
  • Demonstrated interest in advancing QA practices, including agentic automation, AI-assisted test generation, or self-healing test patterns.
  • Experience with performance, load, or security testing tools is a plus.
  • Experience with TypeScript or other languages used in modern Playwright projects is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication, collaboration, customer orientation, innovation mindset, and adaptability under ambiguity.
